Pictograms

Im not sure if I did these right..but here is what I had from last week. I just put all the pictures onto one page. My main category that I picked was "money" and my 5 categories were just the most items I spent money on during the week

  1. These seem more like illustrations. Try to think of pictograms as containing the least amount of information to make the subject readable. Size is also important -- you'll want to make sure the shapes and strokes will read when the icons are about 1/2". It's a reductive process, e.g. do you need all the billiard balls set up to read it as billiards? Are 5 cigarettes better than 1? Stylistically, I am beginning to see relationships between the food in the upper right and the billiards balls; the entirely linear clothes seems out of place.
