Since the background was sort of bland and didn't really work with hand and crystal ball I added the halftone labyrinth. The title is layered with maze textured. Do you have any suggestions on how to make this better?

  1. In trying to add add add, you're losing the magic of the main image. The look of the halftone on the background maze is a bit cutesy. I'm curious how the textured Labyrinth title would look at regular-size (will it add something to the poster or just read as a solid letter?).

Some ideas: You could try a more dense labyrinth as a background that would lead the viewer's eye to the white of the orb in the middle. You could also try creating some "other world" within the orb using a faint but dense labyrinth just within the orb as a way to draw the viewer in.

Your choice of a slab serif is appropriate. I like how the text at the bottom fits nicely around the centered hand.

    Keep at it :-)

  2. This is a strong improvement. The halftone gain on the labyrinth image is too heavy. You can have it be a graphic with no halftone, which would improve it.

They typography is pretty well resolved, but the date should be attached to the festival information. It's still too prominent.

The photo looks MUCH better. Good work.

  3. Lastly, make sure the labyrinth in the bg looks like a labyrinth. I like this idea, though.
